Levrikon One of my most astonishing new finds. A '90s take on Brian Wilson's mid-'60s pocket symphonies or music for somewhat cracked, strange children. The title track is incredible, I can't stop listening to it. Favorite track: Ottawa Bonesaw.

barrissey This band sound so different on so many of their songs you'd swear you were listening to a various atists compilation album.
Think XTC meets Field Music and you're not too far away.
Absolutely fantastic! Favorite track: Ottawa Bonesaw.

about

These six tracks were recently recovered from a 28 year old digital audio tape and remastered for digital release.

(From the original liner notes)

Please welcome The Sugarplastic.

Brownly Corduroyd was engineered by Pat Lydon sometime in 1990. All other songs were engineered by Casey Neiditch in the Batting Cage at Mudville Sound. All songs were recorded in the San Fernando Valley in either a garage, a bedroom or a living room on an eight track recorder.

All songs written and produced by Ben Eshbach

The Sugarplastic are:

Kiara Geller: Bass
Josh Laner: Drums
Ben Eshbach: Guitar, vocals and other noises

Cover art by Peter Fullerton
Backing vocals on Brownly Corduroyd by Maryanne G.

[This collection of songs was originally released in 1993 by Pronto Records on three 7” colored vinyl singles packaged in a single box, thus “the box set.” The concept was conceived and executed by Rush Riddle, who is credited as Executive Producer in the original liner notes. — B.E.]
